R-315N auto focus can focus in a matter of seconds at the point sighted through the telescope. Just direct the telescope to the prism or target position using the sighting scope, press the AF key and the focus will be set automatically. This dramatically increases convenience and speed with which points can be located and viewed through the telescope. Manual focusing can also be done by rotation of the focusing dial positioned conveniently next to the telescope eyepiece. When using a single prism, you can measure as far as 13,000 feet at once, with an accuracy of ±(5+3ppm x D)mm. From extra long distances to remarkably short ones, R-315N offers accurate reflectorless measurement up to 590 feet. Pentax’s laser-pointer function offers visible laser beam can be used as a convenient laser pointer for interior leveling work, vertical alignment, setting out, and other tasks.
